Goat’s milk supports gentle digestion and maybe a good alternative to cow’s milk for babies with sensitive tummies.
The high nutritional values come from prebiotics that naturally exists in goat milk and naturally sourced minerals and vitamins including Vitamin K, B5, Biotin, Choline, Manganese, Selenium.
These are necessary nutrients for growth and development. Proudly made in New Zealand, it is a natural and nutritionally complete milk. It is manufactured to the highest food safety standards using only non-GMO ingredients.
GOODNESS OF GOAT MILK
Nourishing children better, just like they deserve. At LittleOak, we genuinely believe that every child deserves the very best nutrition to get the best start in their little life. It’s, for this reason, we fell in love with goat’s milk because it is filled with natural goodness.
NATURALLY A2 PROTEIN
Caseins are the primary group of proteins found in milk with A1 and A2 casein the most common. Goat’s milk naturally contains A2 making it easier to digest and less likely to lead to the painful symptoms of poor digestion including stomach cramps, diarrhoea, trapped wind and bloating.
NATURAL SOURCE OF PREBIOTICS
Prebiotics promote the good bacteria in the gut leading to a healthy gut microbiome which supports and maintains overall health. Goat’s milk is higher in prebiotic oligosaccharides which are naturally-occurring carbohydrates that feed the good bacteria. It’s the high concentration of the oligosaccharides that makes goat’s milk the closest natural composition to human breast milk and therefore better for your baby.
LESS PROCESSING REQUIRED
Cow’s milk is traditionally harder for delicate tummies to digest and is significantly processed to make it a closer resemblance to breast milk. Goat’s milk, by nature, is closer to human breast milk than cow’s milk or soy, which means less processing and more natural goodness. We have a firm commitment to source the absolute best and most natural ingredients for our mums.
LOWER LEVELS OF LACTOSE
Lactose is the sugar found in milk which is digested by the enzyme lactase. If a person is deficient in lactase, they struggle to digest lactose leading to the signs of lactose intolerance such as trapped wind, bloating and constipation or diarrhoea. Goat’s milk contains lower levels of lactose than cow’s milk
VITAMINS AND MINERALS

No. Goat’s milk contains less lactose than cow’s milk, but lactose is still present. If your child is intolerant to lactose, goat’s milk won’t be appropriate.

Our whey to casein ratio for all 3 stages sits at around 20:80 which is the natural ratio for our goats' milk. Goats milk has been scientifically proven to be more easily digested when consumed in its natural balance of whey to casein which is why we fell in love with it – for its natural goodness.
Goat’s milk is generally easier for babies to digest for several reasons: firstly, it naturally contains more a2 casein. Goat milk has less than half the A1 casein protein found in cow’s milk. Like in adults, the A1 protein can be the cause of many digestive issues such as bloating, constipation, wind and pain in babies. Finally, our goat’s milk is a rich source of nutrients including oligosaccharides or pre-biotics that assist in digestion.
Most of the whole goat milk we use is farmed using organic practices Although our formula is not organic, m It’s quite a process to become an organically certified farm which is why many of the farms that we source our milk from choose not to pursue certification.
All of our ingredients are as naturally and sustainably sourced as possible, including our DHA and ARA (from algal sources) and more importantly, our cold-pressed flaxseed oil from the South Island in New Zealand.
Most of the whole goat milk we use is farmed using organic practices although our formula is not yet certified organic.
All of our other ingredients, as you know, are as natural as we can find and are sourced from the most sustainable sources including our DHA and ARA (from algal sources), and more importantly, our cold-pressed flaxseed oil from the South Island in New Zealand.
We use a Clay and Steam method that is natural and toxin-free.
We are the first infant formula in the world to be certified 100% Palm Oil Free by POFCAP. Palm oil inhibits the absorption of calcium, fats and DHA in babies so for us there was no question that we needed find and use both alternative and better quality oils to provide the fatty acid and lipid profile in our products. Instead of palm oil, we use pressed coconut oil and blend this with cold-pressed flaxseed oil and sunflower.
We are also the first infant formula company in the world to use cold-pressed flaxseed oil from New Zealand to replace Canola Oil. Canola oil is a cheap oil that is extracted by hexane (essentially petroleum) and used by many companies. Instead, we prefer to use and source the highest quality ingredients to ensure we have the most natural infant formula available to mums and dads which is why we chose flaxseed. Flaxseed oil has many wonderful benefits in terms of its fatty acid profile but more excitingly recent research indicates that it may help babies rest and improve sleep.
We source our DHA and ARA from the most natural algal sources. More importantly, we include them at levels that are scientifically proven to make a real difference to a babies health, not just a “sprinkle” to secure a marketing claim. In many cases, our DHA is at levels that are 4-5 times higher than competitors. We do this because scientifically we know that a baby needs more than 13g per 100ml serve to really benefit their growth and neural development.
