As the Mother of two children, I know what it is like to be placed in the position where I have to clean wee from a Mattress.
You will find that each child is different when it comes to bladder control. In our instance, our son Daniel still has occasional mishaps at age 9, whereas Sophie has had great bladder control, even as a baby and has not wet the bed since age 2. With kids in the house, it’s almost inevitable that you’ll end up having to deal with a bed-wetting incident at some point. Dealing with it overnight is hardly fun, however, removing urine from a mattress is pretty simple if you treat it immediately.
Urine stains and smell can set in quickly, so if you discover the mishap overnight, don’t leave it until the morning. It is easier to understand if you consider what makes up urine. All urine is made up of crystals of uric acid so it is best to use an enzyme-based cleaning solution. While there is not a lot of cleaning product for human urine, there is a number to choose from where pets are involved. These are perfectly suitable for use on human accidents too.
Top Tip – test any cleaning product in a small area first before beginning to clean your mattress.
